Dear Fellow Members and Friends of Pinnacle Lutheran Church:
It is with great joy and even greater gratitude to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ that we are very pleased to announce Pinnacle Lutheran Church has set a tentative date for the resuming of services. Our first planned Sunday Service back at the Church will be Sunday June 28th at the normal service time of 10:00 AM. There will, of course, be temporary limitations and changes to the way we were used to doing things before the Pandemic ( details to follow as we get them in place ), but hopefully it will not be too long before we get things back to the previous normal. We also understand that some may not yet feel comfortable attending service in person, and for those we wanted to assure you that Online services will remain available going forward as a new permanent feature of our website.
A committee of the Elders, Pastor, myself and other church members has been meeting at least weekly during this crisis to prepare for this event. The first communion service will be Sunday, July 19 and the resumption of Saturday services will begin no later than Saturday July 25 with that service being with Communion as well. From that point on Pinnacle will resume the normal Communion service rotation. We hope all will understand the necessity for the first few weeks being only the one Sunday service, as we need to still be careful and also see what works and possibly what doesn’t with the first few services.
Also, some of you may have heard that New York State has now announced that Churches under at least Phase 2 of the re-opening plan may hold services with up to 25% of the building capacity. While it would be wonderful for us to resume sooner, please understand that certain things like the acquisition of special supplies ( like hand sanitizer stations which are on back order ), just do not make that practical. If those situations change to the positive we will let everyone know ASAP.
The Church is in average shape financially ( remarkably just about where we were this time last year ) due to the awesome response of people sending in their offerings and the hard work of those involved with our finances. Praise the Lord we seem to have weathered another storm. Take Care. Be Safe, and Good Bless. Can’t wait to see everyone on the 28th !!!
Sincerely, Bruce Hyde,
Acting President Pinnacle Lutheran Church
