+ DAILY PRAYER +

David’s Appointees for Music in the Temple Now these are the men whom David appointed for ?control of singing? in the house of Yahweh where the ark rested. 32 They were ministering with song before the tabernacle of the tent of assembly until Solomon built the temple of Yahweh in Jerusalem. And they stood according to their order with respect to their duty. 33 Now these are those who served and their sons. Of the sons of the Kohathites: Heman the singer, the son of Joel, son of Samuel, 34 son of Elkanah, son of Jeroham, son of Eliel, son of Toah…

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

Amen.

     Hear my prayer, O Lord; give ear to my pleas for mercy!

     In your faithfulness answer me, in your righteousness!

     Evening and morning and at noon I utter my complaint and moan,

     and he hears my voice.

     Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you;

     He will never permit the righteous to be moved.

Psalm 92:1-9

1  It is good to give thanks to the LORD,

to sing praises to your name, O Most High;

2  to declare your steadfast love in the morning,

and your faithfulness by night,

3  to the music of the lute and the harp,

to the melody of the lyre.

4  For you, O LORD, have made me glad by your work;

at the works of your hands I sing for joy.

5  How great are your works, O LORD!

Your thoughts are very deep!

6  The stupid man cannot know;

the fool cannot understand this:

7  that though the wicked sprout like grass

and all evildoers flourish, they are doomed to destruction forever;

8  but you, O LORD, are on high forever.

9  For behold, your enemies, O LORD,

for behold, your enemies shall perish;

all evildoers shall be scattered.

Lord’s Prayer

Daily Prayer

   Lord Jesus, our Sabbath rest, You called the twelve apostles to go out into all the world to carry on Your proclamation of the Kingdom of God and Your miracles of release.  May Your Church with its apostlolic foundation continue to announce the Good News that in You there is healing and forgiveness; for You live and reign with the Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.

    Heavenly Father, send Your Holy Spirit into our hearts to direct and rule us according to Your will, to comfort us in all our afflictions, to defend us from all error, and to lead us into all truth; through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
