+ DAILY PRAYER +
Praise to God for His Rescue of Israel For the music director, with stringed instruments. A psalm of Asaph. A song. 1 God is known in Judah. His name is great in Israel. 2 His den has been in Salem, his lair in Zion. 3 There he broke the flames of the bow, the shield and sword and battle. Selah 4 Radiant you are, majestic, from the mountains of prey. 5 The stouthearted are plundered; they sleep their sleep, and all the able men cannot ?use? their hands. 6 At your rebuke, O God of Jacob,..
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
Hear my prayer, O Lord; give ear to my pleas for mercy!
In your faithfulness answer me, in your righteousness!
Evening and morning and at noon I utter my complaint and moan,
and he hears my voice.
Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you;
He will never permit the righteous to be moved.
Psalm 119:153-160
Psa 119:153 Resh Look on my affliction and deliver me,
for I do not forget your law.
Psa 119:154 Plead my cause and redeem me;
give me life according to your promise!
Psa 119:155 Salvation is far from the wicked,
for they do not seek your statutes.
Psa 119:156 Great is your mercy, O LORD;
give me life according to your rules.
Psa 119:157 Many are my persecutors and my adversaries,
but I do not swerve from your testimonies.

because they do not keep your commands.
Psa 119:159 Consider how I love your precepts!
Give me life according to your steadfast love.
Psa 119:160 The sum of your word is truth,
and every one of your righteous rules endures forever.
Reading for Friday February 14th Psalm 76
Praise to God for His Rescue of Israel
76 For the music director, with stringed instruments.
A psalm of Asaph. A song.
1 God is known in Judah.
His name is great in Israel.
2 His den has been in Salem,
his lair in Zion.
3 There he broke the flames of the bow,
the shield and sword and battle. Selah
4 Radiant you are, majestic,
from the mountains of prey.
5 The stouthearted are plundered;
they sleep their sleep,
and all the able men cannot ?use? their hands.
6 At your rebuke, O God of Jacob,
both rider and horse slumber.
7 ?You, indeed, are to be feared?,
and who can stand before you
when you are angry?
8 From heaven you proclaimed judgment.
The earth feared and was still
9 when God rose for justice,
to save all the afflicted of the land. Selah
10 For the anger of humankind will praise you.
You will put on the remnant of anger.
11 Make vows and fulfill them to Yahweh, your God;
let all surrounding him
bring tribute to the one to be feared.
12 He cuts off the spirit of leaders.
He is to be feared by the kings of the earth.
