Hear my prayer, O Lord; give ear to my pleas for mercy!
In your faithfulness answer me, in your righteousness!
Evening and morning and at noon I utter my complaint and moan,
and he hears my voice.
Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you;
He will never permit the righteous to be moved.
Psalm 105:5-11
Psa 105:5 Remember the wondrous works that he has done,
his miracles, and the judgments he uttered,
Psa 105:6 O offspring of Abraham, his servant,
children of Jacob, his chosen ones!
Psa 105:7 He is the LORD our God;
his judgments are in all the earth.
Psa 105:8 He remembers his covenant forever,
the word that he commanded, for a thousand generations,

Yahweh Remembers Israel’s Faithfulness
2 And the word of Yahweh came to me, ?saying?, 2 “Go and proclaim in the ears of Jerusalem, ?saying?, ‘Thus says Yahweh,

the love of your betrothal-time,

3 Israel was holy to Yahweh,
the first fruit of his produce.

disaster came to them,” ?declares? Yahweh.’ ”
The Unfaithfulness of Israel’s Ancestors
4 Hear the word of Yahweh, O house of Jacob, and all the clans of the house of Israel. 5 Thus says Yahweh:
“What injustice did your ancestors find in me
that they were far from me,
and they went after the vanity,
and they became vain?
6 And they did not say,
‘Where is Yahweh,
the one who brought us up from the land of Egypt,
the one who led us in the desert,
in a land of desert plains and gorges,
in a land of dryness and deep darkness,
in a land ?that no one passes through?,
and no human lives there?’
7 And I brought you to the land of the orchard,
to eat its fruit, and its good things.
But you entered and defiled my land,
and my inheritance you made a detestable thing.
8 The priests did not say, ‘Where is Yahweh?’
and those who handle the law did not know me,
and the shepherds have ?rebelled against me?,
and the prophets prophesied by Baal,
and they went after things which do not profit.

Everlasting Father, source of every blessing, mercifully direct and govern us by Your Holy Spirit that we may complete the works You have prepared for us to do; through Jesus Christ, Your Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spriit, one God, now and forever.
Concluding Prayer
Heavenly Father, send Your Holy Spirit into our hearts to direct and rule us to do Your will, to comfort us in all our afflictions, to defend us from all error, and to lead us into all truth; through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
