Daily Devotion and Prayer for November 10th, 2025

I have become a laughingstock for all the people, their mocking song all day long. 15 He has filled me with bitterness, he has drenched me with wormwood. 16 He has broken my teeth on grit, he has trampled me down in ash. 17 My life has been removed from peace, I have forgotten goodness. 18 And I have said, “My glory is ruined, my expectation from Yahweh.” 19 Remember my misery and bitterness…

+ DAILY PRAYER +

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

Amen.

Hear my prayer, O Lord; give ear to my pleas for mercy!

In your faithfulness answer me, in your righteousness!

Evening and morning and at noon I utter my complaint and moan,

     and he hears my voice.

     Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you;

He will never permit the righteous to be moved.

Psalm 24

Psa 24:1  The earth is the LORD’s and the fullness thereof,

the world and those who dwell therein,

Psa 24:2  for he has founded it upon the seas

and established it upon the rivers.

Psa 24:3  Who shall ascend the hill of the LORD?

And who shall stand in his holy place?

Psa 24:4  He who has clean hands and a pure heart,

who does not lift up his soul to what is false

and does not swear deceitfully.

Psa 24:5  He will receive blessing from the LORD

and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

Psa 24:6  Such is the generation of those who seek him,

who seek the face of the God of Jacob. Selah

Psa 24:7  Lift up your heads, O gates!

And be lifted up, O ancient doors,

that the King of glory may come in.

Psa 24:8  Who is this King of glory?

The LORD, strong and mighty, the LORD, mighty in battle!

Psa 24:9  Lift up your heads, O gates!

And lift them up, O ancient doors,

that the King of glory may come in.

Psa 24:10  Who is this King of glory?

The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory! Selah

Reading for Monday November 10th   Lamentations 3:14-22

14 I have become a laughingstock for all the people,

their mocking song all day long.

15 He has filled me with bitterness,

he has drenched me with wormwood.

16 He has broken my teeth on grit,

he has trampled me down in ash.

17 My life has been removed from peace,

I have forgotten goodness.

18 And I have said, “My glory is ruined,

my expectation from Yahweh.”

19 Remember my misery and bitterness,

the wormwood and venom!

20 Surely my soul remembers

and bows down within me.

21 This ?I have reminded myself?,

therefore I will hope.

22 The loyal love of Yahweh does not cease;

his compassions do not come to an end.

Lord’s Prayer

Daily Prayer

Almighty and ever-living God, You have given exceedingly great and precious promises to those who trust in You.  Dispel from us the works of darkness and grant us to live in the light of Your Son, Jesus Christ, that our faith may never be found wanting; through the same Jesus Christ, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.

Concluding Prayer

Heavenly Father, send Your Holy Spirit into our hearts to direct and rule us to do Your will, to comfort us in all our afflictions, to defend us from all error, and to lead us into all truth; through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
