In the morning, O Lord, You hear my voice;
in the morning I prepare a sacrifice for You and watch.
My mouth is filled with Your praise,
and with Your glory all the day.
O Lord, open my lips,
and my mouth will declare Your praise.

Psalm 24:1-6
A Psalm of David. The earth is the LORD’s and the fullness thereof, the world and those who dwell therein, for he has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the rivers. Who shall ascend the hill of the LORD? And who shall stand in his holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to what is false and does not swear deceitfully. So all the generations from Abraham to David were fourteen generations, and from David to the deportation to Babylon fourteen generations, and from the deportation to Babylon to the Christ fourteen generations.

Daily Prayer
Lord, the earth is Your’s and the fullness thereof, the world and those who dwell in it because You have established and preserve it by Your almighty power. We pray that as we begin a new series of devotions that You would bless each one of us through Your Word that we would be formed into a people passionate about the salvation that You have provided through the sacrifice of Your Son, Jesus Christ, on the cross. We pray that You would continue to guie and uplift our leaders at all levels of government as they seek to restore us and our nation to peace and prosperity and we pray for the many men and women who put themselves at risk in the course of their normal jobs to meet the needs of our society. All this and whatever else You know we need we pray in Your Son’s most holy Name, amen.

I thank You, my heavenly Father, through Jesus Christ, Your dear Son, that You have kept me this night from all harm and danger; and I pray that You would keep me this day also from sin and every evil, that all my doings and life may please You. For into Your hands I commend myself, my body and soul, and all things. Let Your holy angel be with me, that the evil foe may have no power over me. Amen.
