THIRD SUNDAY OF EASTER – FIRST SCRIPTURE READING: Acts 3:3-15, 17-20a

“The God of our ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, has glorified his servant Jesus.  You handed Him over to be killed, and rejected Him in the presence of Pilate, when he had decided to release him.  14You disowned the Holy and Righteous One, and asked for a murderer to be released to you.  15You killed the Author of life, but God raised Him from the dead.  To this we are witnesses. 17And now, brothers and sisters, I know that like your leaders you didn’t know what you were doing.  18But this is how God fulfilled what was foretold by all the prophets, that His Christ would suffer.  19Repent therefore, and turn to God, that your sins may be blotted out, 20that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.”
